Since Kyle and his dad go kayaking on an almost weekly basis and Kyle desperately wants to help his dad paddle, Rudy decided to make Kyle his own miniature paddle. We realize we could have bought one, but Ru had fun making a simple one for Kyle to try out. He split a Smashball paddle we had down the middle and used both pieces to made the ends. He connected the pieces with a paint stick from Home Depot and after sanding it all smooth, taped up the middle for better gripping. He picked wooden pieces on purpose, hoping they will float if Kyle accidentally loses his! ;)
Kyle was so excited and "helped" Papa every chance he got.
The boys are excited to go out on the water for Father's Day and test out their new equipment!
