Kyle's Weigh-in

Kyle had another follow-up appointment for his weight. We could all tell that he felt heavier, so we were hoping for some really good news. We are definitely on the right track with this appetite-inducing medication. He gained over a pound and grew another 1/2 inch! :) Hooray. But before I got the chance to get too excited, we learned that he is still off the growth chart! For his height of 30 inches, the doctor says he should weigh 21 lbs when in reality, he weighs 17 lb 9 oz. However, we are definitely pleased that we are making better progress. And that he's putting more than one bite of food in his mouth at any given time.

In other Kyle news, he continues to amaze us with every new little thing he learns. He is a quick study and loves to show off his new knowledge! He's just begun to say his own name! So far, he knows and accurately uses the following words:

-papa

-Elmo

-ball

-coffee (kind of shows just how much of an addict I am!:)

"Helping" dad open and shut the "raj" (garage) is a serious job for Kyle. He pulls and then steps out and pulls and steps out. Inch by inch the door opens. :)

Helping us cook on the "hot, hot, hot" stove! He especially loves to stir his eggs.
And watching Daddy get ready in the morning. He's super fascinated with shaving. (The guard stays on!!)
