Our picnic lunch at the beach was a perfect family outing. Ru and Kyle got to be outdoors around rocks and waves and I got some time to lay down on the sand while listening to the sound of rolling waves. We've had a solid week of heavy rain and today was the first clear day. And let me tell you, there's nothing more beautiful than the day after a good rain. It was a gorgeous day both in the sky and on the ground. For those of you who experience this on a regular basis (like my family in Oregon), it probably seems mundane and unworthy of blog time. For us, however, it's a day to be outside. Definitely.

ReplyDeletep.s. In case anyone is concerned... yes, he wore a hat in the sun. We took it off for the pictures because you could hardly see the guy's face with it on.
ReplyDeleteThe shoes... on loan from a friend. They are leather with soft soles and therefore the only acceptable pair of shoes for him to wear. He wears them not for looks, but for being outside in the "cold."
And yes, we'll have to add a little Shmu section to your pantry, mom! :)
