Breakfast with family

I just can't get enough of Kyle's backside. I think he looks like an adorable little dude here. Btw - our new favorite pants Gina sent us are 0-3 months and barely stay on! We've got to thicken this kid up somehow!
While playing with his beloved Mr. Turtle (Thanks, Aunt Cindy!), Kyle saw a fork and spoon! Those of you who know his black and white book might remember that page... and he really does seem to recognize the real thing whenever he sees them.
And if he wants it, he'll find a way to get it! :)

Precious.

It's becoming a tradition... if you come down to visit us, we'll take you to one of our favorite breakfast spots followed by a walk on the beach. A few weeks ago we took Gina to this place and this weekend we found ourselves doing the same thing with my parents and sister. Thanks, mom and dad, for breakfast and for driving down to hang out with us. It's funny how the miles between us and family (no matter how many) are more bothersome now that Kyle is here! We really appreciate the time we have with each and every one of you.

So, speaking of which, we've just made plans to go to South Dakota, Nebraska and Illinois during Rudy's spring break! We are so excited!!! My 90 year old grandpa is being inducted into South Dakota's Hall of Fame for his basketball career in the state and at the University of Minnesota, where he was named player of the decade. We'll be flying in to Sioux Falls over the weekend and then driving down to Omaha to fly out on Southwest with our buddy passes to Chicago. We hope to spend the better part of the week with Ru's family. I can't wait to introduce Kyle to my relatives and especially to his great grandparents. We're so glad the event falls on the weekend before spring break so we'll have a whole week to spend with family and friends in all 3 states. With Ru's school schedule being so demanding, this couldn't have been timed/planned better! It's so fun to have something big like this to look forward to! :)
