Pretend City - A Christmas Present

Kyle didn't have school today, so last night we had a sleep over at Grammie and Grandpa's. We woke up early and played in the play room together. It was good to have some quality time just the two of us.  While I went to work, Kyle enjoyed playing with his Grammie and her helper, Kallah. At the end of my work morning, we both were super excited to pick up Gavin and head to The Pretend City. Auntie Allison and Uncle Michael had gifted us tickets for Christmas and what better time to go than a Friday afternoon when everyone else is in school.

I put on the requested CD and the boys instantly join hands for song #2. It's their "thing."

Right away, Gavin found his "beeper car." He policed himself all round town in this police car.
Kyle didn't miss out on the fun, either.

Garden time...
Some mail carrier work...
...and these water tables got a lot of play time...
But the biggest hit was this Trader Joe's shopping market. It had everything and the boys were in heaven! :) Over and over, for over an hour, these two swiped food across a real beeping scanner, swiped their debit card, and rang the bells.

The boys paused once to clock some hours (and earn some cash) at this Bug Restaurant where they served Mommy up some interesting fare.

But it was right back to the grocery store for these two. Kyle loved finding the TJ's uniform shirts and promptly found a matching one for Gavin.

Then we zoomed through the streets and out of town...

...all the way to Mommy's car. Thank you, Auntie Allison and Uncle Maco! The boys had a great time and already miss Trader Joe's. :)
