Kyle's New Smile! :)

Kyle starts Kindergarten tomorrow!! He's very excited and has said over and over how much he wants to go to school. :) Well, he'll be going with a new smile because look what we discovered a few weeks ago?! Shark teeth! (That's what the dentist calls them.) Sometimes kids get their adult teeth in before their infant ones are ready to come out. If we left this alone, we'd have a dental/orthodontic issue on our hands, so we had the 2 baby teeth pulled in order to let the adult teeth move forward as they are supposed to.
Kyle was very brave as his baby teeth got a little pillow (gauze) and went to sleep (numbing shot) and got wiggled and jiggled outta there! Kyle kept looking at his baby teeth in the little Spiderman case he got to carry them home in. He couldn't wait to show Daddy, so we stopped by Daddy's work just to let him see.

Big Boy!!!
He was just the cutest about the Tooth Fairy. We read a few books that I'd had on hand for some time. He's been anticipating this for so long and now finally, the Fairy would visit HIM!! He was very thorough and precise in the details of where and how the teeth would be left out. He wrote the Fairy a note and really wanted to leave a cookie out, too.
Kyle's excitement in the morning was so genuine and youthful, it was really special. He was so happy to get his new dollars! He commented that the Tooth Fairy didn't leave any crumbs like Santa does. :)
