Another semester down!

No more school! No more books! No more teachers' .... (I never did like that last part)!

Rudy is officially on break!!! After an intense summer school program and a long, grueling fall semester, Rudy is finally going to have time off from school and be home!! We are more than excited! He's got 5 weeks off and will be working some of that time at the PT clinic he used to work at. Aside from picking up a paycheck here and there, Rudy's especially looking forward to spending uninterrupted, undivided time with his boy. I, on the other hand, am looking forward to some time off!

To celebrate a successful semester gone, we are having Trader Joe's pizza, dessert and a movie!!! (This is how extravagant we low budget and low energy people celebrate! :) I'm wondering if Rudy will have it in him to stay up through the entire movie. Last night, Shmu fell asleep without so much as a peep in protest. He slept for 4 hours straight. Will he do that again tonight when we want it/need it the most?? Is it too much to ask for 2 days in a row? Please, Kyle??? We're keeping our fingers crossed!

I'm proud of you, Ru. Proud of how many hours you have devoted to this. Proud of your determined attitude. One more semester down ... the countdown to a 2011 graduation continues!!

  1. CONGRATULATIONS to you both!!!!! We, too, are proud of you, Ru. We remember being VERY tired of school, and we commend you for hanging in there and doing your best. You'll have stories to tell Kyle as he grows up and perhaps wants to quit when the going gets tough or tedious. You can do all things through Christ who is your strength!

Have a wonderful break, and enjoy your family! We are thankful we can make memories together, Lord-willing, during the next few weeks.

    Love you all!
    Karen (and Rich, too)

  2. Rudy, you are awesome!! I'm so proud of the effort you put into doing your life. Of course it's nothing new to me. I've watched you reach for the stars throughout your entire life and though some of them may have been falling and seemed quite out of reach, you went after them with all the gusto you are known for and caught them none-the-less. Always thanks be to God for giving the wisdom to know which ones are worth running after and for the strength to capture them for your own. Remember, each one is meant to bring brightness. They are His gifts to light up your life. May you let yourself be bathed in the light of God's love and goodness and may you continue to be steadfast and find joy in the doing. All my love, XOXO Mom G
