There are a few "Adventure Playgrounds" in our area. We were invited to this one with our friends Lisa and Trent. We were told to wear closed-toed shoes and clothing that could get muddy and wet. This was our adventure:
Homemade "Slip n Slide!" :)Forts and wood-piles galore! Each child gets a certain number of nails and a hammer. More nails are distributed for each piece of trash kids collect. Basically, it's "go be creative and build something!" Love this open-ended play.
Each boy had their own ideas and found the wood pieces they needed to make it happen.
This was a ship with a flag flying at the bow.
Kyle and Trent tried hard to put up the siding on their fort.
After sweating it out as a builder, the boys decided to cool off paddling in the little pond.
Check out these "Tom Sawyer" wooden rafts and paddles. So fun!!
Kyle took Gavin for a ride. Fortunately, the water is only about 1-2 feet deep. :)
It would come at no surprise that after looking through our pictures, Rudy was highly interested in going with us next time! :) :)
